This weekend I rang in 24 sales! Seventeen of those sales were made by buyers who visited my shop on Etsy.com, and the other seven sales came from the boutique this past week.
Needless to say there has been a lot of packaging and shipping going on in my life right now!
( Please excuse my funky hair, it has been fairly humid in Texas lately D: )
Though it has now been three months that I have been selling my items on etsy, I feel like a newbie. I am altering the way I package things, taking in every close detail to make sure the items do not arrive to their new owners in a tangle. Even though I have altered my ways many a time already, I have found out I still need a new way to secure the chains, so they do not tangle or break for that matter. I think I will purchase some of these soon.

I also made a trip up to MAKE Boutique & Studio to restock over half of my items! Big sales this weekend! I made small talk with Julie, the owner of make, and was informed that it is quick uncommon for a first time seller to sell over half of their entire stock in just their first month. Typically a seller restocks every 90 days or so. I was super excited to hear this, and I am hoping like crazy this isn't just some sort of beginners luck! Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Here are some images of the showcase I have up at MAKE Boutique & Studio:
In other news, my mother, brother, close friend, and boyfriend all have their birthdays this week! YIKES! I think I have finally gotten all of their gifts in order, which was to my surprise! I decided to get everyone a little gift that reminded me of their personality & to make them a special surprise to go along with it. Once everyone has their birthday and all gifts are given I will post some images so everyone can see the little beauties. But I cannot post too soon, because I know for a fact I have some sneaky buddies who love to lurk my blog and would most likely tell each other! :)
So far, this week all of my errands are complete, that is until I need to make another run to the local post office. I thought I was going to have an extremely busy week considering all of my work for my classes was not even started this morning, but somehow I managed to sit here for 4 hours doing it! That never happens, as most of you know artists are probably the most procrastinating individuals alive. Though we are also the most fun to be around! :: nudge nudge ::
Well I need to get going and start on a few new projects, I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know how I was doing! I will be returning later this week with new items in my shop, so stick around and I will keep you posted!

It's funny... because I've been selling on Etsy since April, and I still totally feel like a newbie! I'm constantly fiddling with my packaging for items, and I'm in the process of changing a lot of things in my shop... so i hear ya! as a matter of fact, yesterday i just made business cards/tags for my items - which you will see on your goodies :D
ReplyDeleteawwe! I'm so glad someone else knows what I'm feeling!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty excited to get the package! :D
I need to print more cards too, but its so expensive D: I tried doing it at home and i only got to print 24 out of the 100 before I ran out of printer ink !!
Yay, IndieThrift! Congrats on the sales :)
